 Linda Tomer, an Australian-Israeli singer, musician, composer and actress, performs as a vocalist in various artistic programs in many languages, on radio and television, at various institutions, organizations and private functions. Her repertoire includes Israeli songs of “Beautiful Israel”, Hassidic and Soul, musical hits and film, Yiddish and Ladino, light classical and folklore, “Bel Canto”, arias from well known operas, love songs in different languages. |
A special program of hers is “LINDA SINGS BARBARA STREISAND - ‘MEMORIES’”, the most memorable songs from her broadway, musical, and film career. This particular evening is performed in English, and also has been translated into Hebrew.
Another special program is “Highlights of the Century”, a tribute to the great singers of our time, Ella Fitzgerald, Barbara Streisand, Nana Moushkouri, Ofra Haza, and others. And yet another favorite is “An evening of Musical Romance”, featuring the music of Gershwin, Piaf and Cole Porter. Linda is accompanied in these programs by Ronni Tzur, keyboard/music manager, Zeev Koren on bass, and Leon Chaviv on drums.
Linda studied at the conservatory and Academy of Music in Melbourne, and made aliya shortly after. She lives with her husband, well-known artist, Miguel Tomer, in Jaffa, Tel Aviv.
